Sources include John Gibson Lockhart's Life of Sir Walter Scott; Francis Charles Laird's Lady Jane Grey and her times; and Robert Southey's Life of Cowper, as well as a poem by Byron followed by a brief biography of him and an extract from Edward Bulwer-Lytton's The student.
